The whole story is about Harry Potter (duh) and his years at Hogwarts, one of the few magical schools for witches and wizards. Some background stuff first, starting at 11, if the student is worthy, students will receive their letters accepting them into the school (depending on location will depend on which school). This then will forward them to school and teach these students how to be a witch/wizard accordingly through a wide variety of classes.  

 

The Normal things of just becoming a Wizard or a Witch do not happen in the wizarding world, normal is only for the Muggle world (non-magical world) only, let alone anything normal for the life of Harry Potter. 

 

 Each year there are things, correlating to the title, that happen all relating to the Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named (Lord Voldemort) and Harry himself (that is like the whole point of the series. Harry Potter and the... fill in the blank accordingly). Throughout the books and alongside Harry's close friends Ron and Hermione, the trio finds themselves in many different adventures and enduring events throughout their years at Hogwarts. From stones that only certain people can acquire to the horcruxes of Lord Voldemort himself, this series is filled with moments of laughter, serious build ups, and all together an independent way to highlight Harry Potter and the events that brought him to Hogwarts in the first place.
